The Ordinance on granting humanitarian visas to Ukrainians came into force on 03/03/2022 and is valid until 08/31/2022. The duration of this visa is from 6 months to 2 years, and can be extended under certain conditions. This visa gives resident status and allows them to work in the country.

Humanitarian visa application process

Option 1. To obtain a humanitarian visa, you must apply for it at the Brazilian consulate in Warsaw, Budapest, Bucharest, Prague or Bratislava.

Option 2: Ukrainians can also enter the country as tourists and apply for a humanitarian visa/residence permit after arriving to Brazil. To do this, please contact a local Federal Police office.

Documents required for visa application:

  • Travel document (passport)
  • Proof of means of transport entering Brazilian territory (if you present documents to the embassy outside Brazil).
  • Completed humanitarian visa application form
  • Certificate of no criminal record (within the last 5 years) or a your written declaration of no criminal record, if it is impossible to obtain a certificate.
